The Sentinels Cast

Colt Bradford

ColtProfileAge: 27 (appears 22)

Occupation: Actor and entrepreneur

Type: Purified Immortal

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Pride

Colt Bradford is the son of blockbuster movie star Brock Bradford and soap opera queen Scarlett Hood.   He has a younger half-brother, B. Bradford Junior (whom he affectionately calls Brat), also an actor. He also has a cousin who is a famous goth rocker named Reese Bradford, who lives with him in Aleswich.  He was married to a Werewolf named Delray Sinclair, but they’re now estranged.  Together, they adopted a young orphan named Luc, who remained with Colt when Delray left.

Colt was born wolfblooded, and when he turned 12, his Werewolf uncle began teaching him all about the People, preparing him for the day when he’d experience his First Change.  But that day never came, because instead, Colt undertook the ritual to become a Purified Immortal.

At the age of 6, he followed in his parents’ foot-steps by becoming an actor himself, and he’s been on television, on one show or another, ever since.  He’s also starred in a few theatrical films, including one that netted him an Oscar nomination (though he lost out on the award itself, it really is an honor to be nominated).

Colt lives in stately Graveswood Manor in Aleswich, Maine, with his cousin, Reese, and his adopted son, Luc.  He owns several businesses, including Mad Moon Rising Productions Studio, WICH-TV Channel 13 television station, the Republic movie theater, and the Midnight Parish goth nightclub, all based in Aleswich.  When he’s not acting on his TV show, Graves Hollow, he can usually be found trying to save the world with his closest friends and family, collectively known as The Sentinels.

 Reese Bradford

ReeseProfile

Age: 19

Occupation: Goth rock star

Type: Wolfblooded Thaumaturge

Virtue: Faith

Vice: Lust

Reese’s was born in San Francisco, the son of a wolfblooded father and Werewolf mother.  His father and Colt’s father are cousins.  Reese has two brothers, one older and one younger.  The elder brother has experienced his First Change and joined their mother’s pack.  From a young age, all three boys were slowly taught about Werewolves and especially spirits — the wolves’ blood is strong in their branch of the Bradford family, and all three boys not only attract the attention of spirits, their very presence weakens the Gauntlet, allowing spirits to slip more freely from the Shadow.

In his early teens, Reese began studying occult texts, hoping to learn more about the supernatural world he lived in.  Somewhere along the way, he stumbled upon references to “The Song in the Darkness”, a being from before time that witnessed the creation of reality. It reputedly heard the song of creation that brought on the light and material worlds and was forever changed by it, forever singing bits of it so that creation was never forgotten.  To Reese’s artistic and young sensibilities, this was a romantic notion and helped to explain the realities that simply were inexplicable as it gave some insight into other realms beyond the one he could see and touch. Since the entity was enamored by a song, Reese latched onto music.  By age 16, with the approval of his parents, Reese formed a band with some other musicians his own age.  Reese sang lead and wrote most of the group’s music.  They called themselves Dark Urges, and although their dark, haunting music wasn’t wildly popular, but it was a considered the best thing to happen in dark rock and roll in years.

After their first album and a tour opening for Korn, Reese wanted to expand his horizons.  Communing with the Song in the Darkness, he tried to cajole the godlike entity into teaching him how to cross over into the Shadow world.  Instead, the Song taught him how see ghosts.  After a frustrated and angry protest to The Song, Reese received a simple song that stated plainly, “You are not divine enough to command The Song. Learn and shut up.” It was with this second sight, however, that he was inspired to write the band’s second album, “Industrial Despair”. He never again made demands of the Dark One again.

With the release of their second album, which received much more positive attention from the public, and another tour, this time as the headliners, Dark Urges decided to take an artistic break.  They went their separate ways for a time, and Reese ended up with his cousin, Colt, in Aleswich, where he’s studying music at Aleswich Reach University.

Luc Bradford-Sinclair

LucProfile

Age: 13

Occupation: Middle school student

Type: Wolfblooded Mortal

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Pride

Born Luc Goddard, his father was a wolfblooded Native American, and his mother was French-Canadian.  Both died when Luc was younger, leaving him orphaned.  His only living relative was his paternal grandmother, who was quite elderly and had suffered two strokes.  She did the best she could, but it was soon clear she wasn’t up to the task of raising a young, energetic boy like Luc.  Fortunately, the reservation they lived on was patrolled by a resident pack of Forsaken werewolves, and the pack’s Alpha had a nephew, also a werewolf, who had recently married another man.  These were, of course, Delray Sinclair and his husband, Colt Bradford, who were very much wanting to adopt a wolfblood to raise as their own.   Knowing she couldn’t raise Luc herself, and that it would be best if the young wolfblood had loving parents who could teach Luc about the People, the grandmother agreed to let the couple adopt Luc.

It took some time for Luc to adjust, of course.  Not only did he now have two gay daddies, one of whom was almost as childlike as himself at times, but he went from the poverty of the reservation to the opulence of Graveswood Manor in Aleswich.  Still, Delray and Colt were indeed loving, and they doted on Luc.  Now, a few years later, Delray has left, but he still keeps in touch with Luc, who remained with his other dad, Colt.  He’s more used to the wealth now, though he’s still a bit uncomfortable with it.  He also tends to be a bit of a loner, and though he does have a few friends, he considers Tommy the ghost to be his closest and best friend.

Junior Bradford

Age: 22

Occupation: Actor, Model

Type: Geist-Bound Sin-Eater

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Pride

B. Bradford, Junior is the son of actor Brock Bradford and supermodel Hildie Bauer, and he is Colt’s half-brother.  The first time Colt saw his brother, he said  the baby looked like a brat, and Brat became the name he has called Junior, with affection, ever since.  The two were very close growing up, despite living in two different homes.  Junior grew up in the shadows of his famous family members, and for years, he struggled to make a name for himself.  He started as a child model, but when he was twelve, his brother talked him into trying his hand at acting.  He appeared in numerous commercials and TV shows, as well as small roles in theatrical movies, before finally landing a lead on a show called High School Daze.  He also played a recurring guest role on Colt’s series Masks.  Three years ago, he joined Colt in Maine and on the show Graves Hollow, but after only one season, he was offered a leading part on a police procedure show set in Los Angeles.  Now, two years later, he has returned to Aleswich with his and Colt’s half-sister, Adriana.

Adriana Bradford

Age: 18

Occupation: Photographer and College Student

Type: Wolfblooded Witch

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Greed

Adriana Bradford is the daughter of actor Brock Bradford and entertainment reporter Ashley Davies.  The two met when Brock was filming a movie in Toronto, where Ashley lived.  Months later, after he had returned to Los Angeles, he learned that Ashley had given birth to a girl.  Ashley had no illusions that Brock would leave his wife (Junior’s mother, Hildie Bauer), but she contacted Brock in the hope of securing a future for her daughter.  Brock’s lawyers set up a trust fund, but insisted that Ashley sign confidentiality documents to protect the actor’s reputation.  Adriana grew up never knowing who her father was, but after her mother’s untimely death, she found the documents and took it upon herself to contact Brock.  By then, she had already become a Witch wielding “low magic,” and she had a familiar in the form of an Embodied dog spirit named Hecate, but she was surprised to learn she was also wolfblooded, related to Werewolves.  Since Brock has never been comfortable discussing the family’s Werewolf heritage, he sent Adriana, along with Junior, to Colt in Aleswich, knowing his elder son would be able to teach her what she needs to know about the People.

Tommy Mahoney

TommyProfile

Age: 78 (appears 15)

Occupation: Movie theater haunt

Type: Ghost

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Sloth

The ghost of Tommy Mahoney appears as a fifteen year old boy.  He’s most often found at the Republic Theater, sitting either in the back row or up in the balcony, watching movies.  If you have no supernatural means of sensing ghosts (such as Death Sight), you’re most likely to feel chills and an uneasy feeling while in the theater, as if you’re being watched.  It isn’t a particularly menacing feeling, just uneasy.  Tommy also likes to toss popcorn at people from the balcony, but it’s fairly harmless.  He can, and sometimes does, make himself visible, via the Image Manifestation Effect.  The bullet wound that killed him in 1939 has long since faded, but in times of great stress, the wounds appear as a small entrance wound on his back just below the left shoulder and a larger exit wound on his chest a bit right of center.

In addition to the Republic, Tommy can often be found tagging along with Colt Bradford, or more often, hanging out with Colt’s son, Luc.  Both can see ghosts in Twilight, so Tommy doesn’t need to Manifest to interact with them.  Although he has flesh-and-blood friends, Luc considers Tommy to be his closest and bestest friend.

Biebs

Age: Unknown

Occupation: Familiar

Type: Spirit

Influence: Lust

Biebs is a spirit of Lust, spawned at a spot near the Western Cliffs popular with teenagers as a make out point.  No one, including Biebs himself, is quite sure how old he is, but he has been inspiring and feeding on the lust of horny teenagers for generations.  Shortly after Reese arrived in Aleswich, he and a new acquaintance found themselves at the make out spot, and Reese at once recognized the spirit for what he was.  Not surprisingly, they struck up a friendship, and Biebs agreed to become Reese’s familiar spirit, knowing the goth rocker would be surrounded by plenty of lust.

Oscar

Age: Unknown

Occupation: Familiar

Type: Spirit

Influence: Birds

Oscar is a raven spirit with golden feathers, beak, and talons.  Colt first encountered Oscar during the harrowing three days following the ritual to become Purified, when his disembodied soul wandered in the Shadow, lost and defenseless.  Why Oscar chose to guide Colt back to his body (after first guiding him to a powerful Relic weapon, which Colt still owns) has not yet been revealed, but he remains as Colt’s familiar…for now.

Hecate

Age: 2

Occupation: Familiar

Type: Embodied Spirit

Influence: Dogs

Hecate is Adriana’s familiar, an Embodied spirit.  Unlike ephemeral spirits (like Oscar and Biebs), Hecate is always in corporeal from, and to most observers, she appears to be nothing more than a rather bright, but otherwise ordinary dog.  How she came to be Adriana’s familiar is still unknown.

Cedric Oswald

Age: 112 (appears 60)

Occupation: Graveyard  haunt

Type: Ghost

Cedric Oswald was an undertaker in Victorian Aleswich, and he died of natural causes in 1901 (the same year as Queen Victoria).  Shortly after his death, he began haunting the Eternal Acres Funeral Parlor, located on the edge of the Cricket Lake cemetery.  In 1936, the mortuary was shut down for good, leaving Oswald basically homeless, so he took up residence in the graveyard itself.  That’s where he met Delray, a Werewolf with a great deal of respect for the spirits and apparitions of the cemetery.  Oswald soon became Delray’s Ghost Ally, and the Swamp Things Pack has adopted him as their unofficial mascot.

Jordan Wood

Age: 30

Occupation: Personal Assistant

Type: Wolfblooded Mortal

Virtue: Temperance

Vice: Envy

Jordan Wood has been Colt’s personal assistant since he was 21 (can Colt was 16).  Highly intelligent and very efficient, he works tirelessly to ensure Colt is where he needs to be at all times.  He also takes care of most of the day-to-day business in Colt’s office at the studio, freeing Colt to concentrate on acting.  Like Colt was, Jordan is wolfblooded, so he knows about the dangers involved living with werewolves.  He’s also extremely patient with Colt, who can be more than a little flighty at times, and he’s very well paid for all his trouble.  Jordan has his own house in Aleswich, but he can often be found at Graveswood Manor, especially early in the mornings, when he needs to make sure Colt is awake and semi-coherent before a long day of acting.

Sid Diamond

Age: 59

Occupation: Agent

Type: Mortal

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Greed

Sid Diamond has been Colt’s agent since Colt’s first commercial at age 6.  A greedy and ruthless man, it’s said Sid would sell his own mother to sign a good picture deal for one of his clients.  Of course, today his only client is Colt, who keeps him more than busy.  Sid is the reason all of Colt’s contracts include a percentage of all merchandising, a fact which has made both men very wealthy.  Sid also employs a large number of public relations experts, who not only keep Colt’s name and image in the public eye, but also ensure that most of Colt’s press is relatively positive.  But as Sid is fond of telling Colt, there really is no such thing as bad media attention.  Sid is an ordinary mortal who knows absolutely nothing about the supernatural world.  Although he visits Colt in Aleswich from time to time, he lives and maintains offices in Hollywood.

Alfred Thompson

Age: 62

Occupation: Butler

Type: Mortal

Virtue: Temperance

Vice: Pride

Alfred Thompson is one of a dying breed: an authentic British butler.  For more than thirty years, Alfred and his wife, a gourmet chef named Martha, have lived and worked at the estate now called Graveswood Manor, and when Colt bought the estate a few years ago, he saw no reason to replace them.  Though an ordinary mortal, Alfred may know more about the paranormal than he lets on.  His detached English demeanor and unfailing professionalism, however, mean that he never seems to notice any of the supernatural happenings that surround his employer.

Chris Dark (1985)

Age: 11

Occupation: Student

Type: Mortal Medium

Virtue: Hope

Vice: Greed

Christopher Dark will one day be the author of some very popular horror novels.  His knowledge of the occult, coupled with his ability to not only sort fact from fiction, but to present only the fictional to the unsuspecting public, will earn him the grudging respect of the various supernaturals of the world.  He’ll also create one of the most popular TV shows on television, Graves Hollow.  But in 1985, he’s just a nerdy kid whose older sister is dating a bully.

 Randi McNeil

Age: 13

Occupation: Student

Type: Apprentice Mage

Virtue: Justice

Vice: Pride

Randi McNeil’s father is a Bone Shadow Werewolf, a member of Delray’s Pack.  She is a newly awakened Mage and one of Luc’s best friends.  A Doctor Who fan, her Mage mentor is a Transhuman Engineer, which is most likely the path Randi herself will follow.

James “Moose” Miller

Age: 13

Occupation: Student

Type: Wolfblooded Mortal

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Sloth

James Miller, known to his friends as Moose, is a young wolfblood and good friend of Luc and Randi.  His mother is a Bone Shadow in Delray’s Pack, the Swamp Things.  Like all wolfbloods, he can sense when spirits and Werewolves, but unlike Luc, he can neither see nor hear ghosts, unless the ghosts make themselves visible or audible.

Rex Hanlon

Age: 21

Occupation: College Student

Type: Spirit-Ridden Mortal

Virtue: Justice

Vice: Wrath

Rex Hanlon is a student at Aleswich Reach University, majoring in physiotherapy.  His first year at college, he had a scholarship to play on the ARU football team.  However, his poor grades and bad temper contributed to his being kicked off the team and losing his scholarship.  An angry young man, he’s on his way to becoming an alcoholic with a murderous rage — just the sort of person susceptible to being Ridden by a murder spirit.

Delray Sinclair

Age: 27

Occupation: Musician and Graveyard Keeper

Type: Bone Shadow Elodoth

Virtue: Justice

Vice: Sloth

Delray Sinclair is an Elodoth Werewolf of the Bone Shadow Tribe.  Haunted by ghosts all his life, he became a mortician’s assistant in the hope of helping ghosts cross over.  A few years ago, he relocated to Aleswich, where he met and fell in love with Colt Bradford.  They were legally married in the state of Maine in December, 2012, and they adopted an orphaned wolfblood named Luc Goddard the next year.  Though Delray and Colt were deeply in love, Delray’s increasing Primal Urge, coupled with his discomfort with the luxury of the Bradford lifestyle, caused Delray to begin to fear for his family’s safety.  Reluctantly, he and Colt legally separated, and Delray moved into a small house on Cricket Lake.  There, he works on his music and earns a living by maintaining the grounds of the small local cemetery.  He has a ghost ally named Cedric Oswald, who dwells at the graveyard.  Delray is the Alpha of an Uratha pack called the Swamp Things, which includes Moose’s mother and Randi’s father.

Phoebe Miller

Age: 37

Occupation: Garden Supplier

Type: Bone Shadow Irraka

Virtue: Justice

Vice: Envy

Phoebe Miller runs a greenhouse and garden supply shop with her husband, Lester, near Lake Cricket.  An Irraka Bone Shadow, she’s a member of the Swamp Things Pack.  Her son, James (aka Moose) occasionally helps in the shop as well.  Although she and Lester have been married for over fifteen years, they argue quite a bit, and due to her Werewolf temper, Phoebe must often leave the house to avoid their fights becoming physical.  In the end, however, they do truly love one another.

Jack McNeil

Age: 45

Occupation: Park Ranger

Type: Bone Shadow Rahu

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Wrath

Jack McNeil’s temper is the hottest of the Swamp Things Pack.  Changed under a Full Moon, he is the group’s strongest warrior.  He once had a short affair with a young scientist named Miranda Braddock, and as a result, he is the father of Randi McNeil.  Miranda wasn’t interested in marriage to a Werewolf, but she did give her daughter Jack’s last name.  Jack shares joint custody of Randi, though he and Miranda seldom see eye to eye on anything.

Hector Ramos

Age: 24

Occupation: Aleswich Police Officer

Type: Bone Shadow Cahalith

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Wrath

Hector Ramos is the youngest member of the Swamp Things Pack.  Despite the obvious danger, while still a wolfblood, Hector joined the US Marine Corps as soon as he’d graduated from high school.  He made it through basic training, but during his first true engagement in Afghanistan, he experienced his First Change.  The slaughter was horrific, but fortunately, none of his own men were seriously injured.  Lunacy hid the truth from the investigating authorities, but Hector was given an early discharge from the military.  He immediately entered the police academy, and upon graduation, joined the Aleswich city police department.  He also befriended Delray and joined the Swamp Things.  His family, which includes his younger brother Timo, live in the small town of New Haven, just north of Aleswich.

Brock Bradford & Hildie Bauer

Ages: Brock: 52, Hildie: 48

Occupations: Brock: Actor, Hildie: Fashion Model (retired)

Types: Brock: Wolfblooded Mortal, Hildie: Mortal

Virtues: Brock: Fortitude, Hildie: Hope

Vices: Brock: Lust, Hildie: Greed

Brock Bradford is an action movie hero whose first big break was the 1988 blockbuster, Grom the Savage.  Other films include three Hard to Kill films, RoboPatrol, The Eliminator, and four Space Marines.  His first wife was soap actress Scarlett Hood, with whom he has a son, Colt.  Brock was not the most faithful husband, however, and though Scarlett put up with his infidelities for a few years, when one of his mistresses, supermodel Hildie Bauer, became pregnant, the two divorced, and Brock married Hildie.  They’ve remained married ever since, despite Brock continuing to have occasional flings.  One of those flings was with a Canadian entertainment reporter named Ashley Davies, who gave birth to Brock’s only known daughter, Adriana.  Hildie is aware of her husband’s infidelities, and though she’s not happy about them, she loves her husband, just as Brock truly loves her.

Brock is aware that he’s wolfblooded, as his older brother was a Werewolf who accidentally killed their father during his First Change, when both boys were in their teens.  The two brothers rarely spoke afterward, and to this day, Brock refuses to talk about the family’s Werewolf heritage.  Hildie Bauer is an ordinary Mortal who knows nothing at all about the supernatural.

Scarlett Hood

Age: 50

Occupation: TV Actress

Type: Wolfblooded Mortal

Virtue: Charity

Vice: Pride

Scarlett Hood was born Mildred Colt, but legally adopted her stage name after her first marriage ended in divorce.  Her second marriage was to a fellow struggling actor, Brock Bradford, with whom she has a son, Colt.  When Colt was born, Scarlett was a relatively background character on the long-running daytime drama, The Sun Also Sets, but the writers incorporated her pregnancy into the story, and soon, Scarlett’s character was launched into the spotlight.  Over the next decade, she became the most popular character on the show, and today, she is a soap opera legend.  She’s currently on her fifth marriage, to Mammoth Pictures’ CEO, Tony Butler.  She’s never had any children other than Colt.  She’s unaware that she’s wolfblooded.  She is, however, Jewish on her mother’s side, a heritage she has embraced more actively in recent years.

Alan Tourner

Age: 28

Occupation: TV Actor

Type: Psychic Mortal

Virtue: Charity

Vice: Lust

Alan Tourner is a native of Aleswich, Maine.  Trained as a therapist, he worked for a few years with troubled kids who had experienced trauma of one form or another.  He was Luc’s therapist, after the death of his parents.  That’s how he met Colt, and after casually mentioning how much he enjoyed drama club in school, Colt talked him into auditioning for a role on Graves Hollow.  Alan’s emotions had been frayed raw by the years he’d spent working with traumatized kids, and his own therapist suggested a break and temporary change in careers would help to recharge his batteries, so he might return again to what he considers to be the important work of counselling.  For the last year, he has played the role of Joe Smoker on Graves Hollow, a ghost that haunts the local library.  Reviews of his work have been positive, though he’s still uncomfortable with all the fame this has brought him.  Colt flirts with Alan fairly regularly, and while he’s attracted to the elder Bradford brother, Alan has so far resisted his charms.  Alan is pyrokinetic, though he apparently has very little conscious control over his fire-starting abilities.

Teddy

Age: 35

Occupation: Midnight Parish Bouncer

Type: Mortal

Virtue: Charity

Vice: Gluttony

Teddy is one of the bouncers at Colt’s Midnight Parish nightclub.  He’s not terribly bright, and his English leaves something to be desired, but his heart is in the right place, and he’s fiercely loyal to Colt.

Enrico

Age: 21

Occupation: Midnight Parish Manager and Bartender

Type: Wolfblooded Mortal

Virtue: Temperance

Vice: Sloth

Enrico Martinez manages the Midnight Parish nightclub for Colt, and he also serves as head bartender.  Laid back and amiable, he’s popular with most of the club’s patrons.

Madison Kingsley

Age: 40

Occupation: Executive Vice President of Brollex in Aleswich

Type: Pure Werewolf

Virtue: Faith

Vice: Pride

Madison Kingsley is Executive Vice President of the Aleswich division of the Brollex Corporation.  Brollex is a global mega-corp with divisions in just about every sort of industry you can imagine, including electronics, software, pharmaceuticals, even fast food.  It employs hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, though the main corporate headquarters are in the US.  In Aleswich, in addition to an office building in midtown, Brollex also has a state-of-the-art electronics and alternative energies lab.  Kingsley is Brollex’s top dog in Aleswich, and as the Alpha of a pack of vicious Pure werewolves, he wouldn’t have it any other way.  As the head of an Inner Circle, it is his job to direct all the elements in the upcoming apocalypse.

Marilyn Mason

Age: 28

Occupation: Executive Assistant

Type: Pure Werewolf

Virtue: Faith

Vice: Greed

Marilyn Mason is Kingley’s executive assistant and also the Pack’s Beta.  Marilyn is especially in tune with the Shadow world, able to see and communicate with beings in Twilight without effort.  Her spirit familiar is a rat, but she also has a network of other spirits around town that spy for her.

 Evan Hunter

Age: 32

Occupation: Lumberjack

Type: Pure Werewolf

Virtue: Faith

Vice: Wrath

Evan Hunter isn’t terribly bright, but he makes up for it in brute strength.  He’s the only member of the Pure Pack who doesn’t work directly for Brollex.  Instead, he’s a lumberjack, taking out his supernatural aggression on helpless trees.

Andy Spencer (1985)

Age: 15

Occupation: Student

Type: Mage

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Envy

Andrew Spencer IV, known as Andy to friends and enemies alike, was a newly Awakened Mage in 1985.  He was also a 15-year-old bully who delighted in lording his superiority over lesser beings (like everyone who isn’t a Mage).

Andrew Spencer, PhD

Age: 44

Occupation: Engineer, Research & Development, Brollex

Type: Mage

Virtue: Fortitude

Vice: Envy

Dr Andrew Spencer IV is the last son of a very important family in Aleswich, and his grandfather was a founder of the Brollex corporation.  A child of privilege, his cruelty knew no bounds, and when he Awakened as a Mage in his mid-teens, he was able to bully others in whole new ways.  However, at the age of 15, he encountered two time-travelling heroes who frightened him in ways he never knew possible, shattering his confidence.  He grew up to be a rather plodding engineer, afraid to take large risks, which cost him control of the corporation he inherited.  However, he still harbors dreams of revenge and redemption, making him a dangerous enemy.  What part he will play in the upcoming apocalypse is unknown.

Amy Dark (1985)

Age: 15

Occupation: Student

Type: Mage

Virtue: Prudence

Vice: Pride

In 1985, Amy Dark was also a newly Awakened Mage.  Extremely intelligent, she’s also rather insecure.  Although she doesn’t particularly like Andy, he has her convinced that being a Mage makes her too different, and therefore no other boy will want to date her.

Amanda Dark, PhD

Age: 44

Occupation: Vice President of Research & Development, Brollex

Type: Mage

Virtue: Prudence

Vice: Pride

Dr Amanda Dark holds  degrees in quantum physics and theoretical temporal mechanics.  A Mage who awakened in her mid-teens, she had a brilliant mind, but low self-esteem, making her easily bullied by fellow Mage and classmate, Andy Spencer, whom she eventually married.  She grew increasingly dissatisfied with her life as his underling, so she used Brollex’s considerable resources to create a temporal displacement device powered by Time magic.  She used this time machine to send two heroes back to 1985, knowing they would not be able to resist interfering with Spencer’s bullying.  Bolstered by the confidence they instilled in her at a young age, she grew up to displace Spencer at Brollex and become VP of R&D.  She also remained single, ensuring Spencer had no hold over her whatsoever.  Thanks to the temporal shielding around her laboratory, she alone remembers both the original timeline and the one our comic takes place in.  Her younger brother is author Christopher Dark.  As a member of Madison Kingsley’s Inner Circle, she has a role to play in the upcoming apocalypse.

Father Romaine

Age: 273

Occupation: Archbishop (disguised as a Catholic priest)

Type: Lancea Santum Vampire

Virtue: Faith

Vice: Pride

The creature calling itself Father Romaine died nearly 200 years ago, but rather than resting in peace, it rose as a Lancea Santum Vampire.  Over the centuries, he has risen to the top position in Aleswich, the Prince (or as his Covenant calls it, Archbishop) of the area.  A cold, calculating, and patient man, he is a member of Madison Kingsley’s Inner Circle and will play a large role in the upcoming apocalypse.

Rufus

Age: 92

Occupation: Lackey

Type: Lancea Santum Vampire

Virtue: Prudence

Vice: Lust

Rufus is a relatively young Vampire charged by Father Romaine with distracting the Bradfords on Halloween.  He got Colt’s attention by attempting to seduce (and possibly feed from) Colt’s friend and co-worker, Alan Tourner.
